“My first ever musical I performed in was HANSEL AND GRETL at Greasepaint at the age of 5! I played the pivotal role of “Unnamed Flower.” After that I was hooked and knew I wanted to do theatre forever! ! I went on to perform in many other shows at Greasepaint/ Stagebrush such as LITTLE PRINCESS (Lottie), and THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Marta). Then all my dreams came true at the age of 9 when I got to play Annie in ANNIE! I remember collapsing on the kitchen floor and crying tears of joy when the cast list came out. I won a ZONI award for that and then went on to play Annie in multiple regional productions of ANNIE across the country for several years following! That is when I started making money as an actor and realized I could actually do this for a JOB! My final show at Greasepaint was LES MIS in which I played Little Cosette directed by Stephanie Like’s (AZ FAMOUS AND GREASEPAINT LEGEND CASEY’S MOM), and was nominated for a Zoni for that! Greasepaint was pivotal in fostering my joy of the performing arts, my sense of home in the theatre community, and was the theatre I kept coming back to for show after show! I am so happy they are still spreading the goodness of live theatre and theatre education for AZ audiences and young performers today!”
