Ready to laugh louder, think faster, and step way outside the comfort zone (in the best way)? This high-energy improv workshop is all about creativity, confidence, and connection – no script required.
June 22-26, 2026
Monday – Friday, 9am – 12 noon
Stagebrush Theatre · Scottsdale, AZ
Ages 10–16
Led by Johnny Kalita, a professional actor and improviser with 15+ years of experience and Chicago-style improv training (Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago, and The Annoyance), this workshop gives young performers the tools to shine onstage and beyond it.
Through fast-paced games, ensemble challenges, and scene work, students will:
✨ Build confidence and trust their instincts
🎭 Create bold characters on the spot
🤝 Strengthen teamwork and “group mind”
🌍 Explore environment and object work
🎬 Learn how to elevate scenes with smart choices and playful editing
Johnny believes improv is more than performance – it’s a life skill. It helps actors become better storytellers, collaborators, and communicators. His one-week camp last summer was a huge hit, and we’re thrilled to bring him back for another unforgettable session.
Whether your child is brand new to improv or already loves the thrill of thinking on their feet, this workshop is pure creative joy—with plenty of laughs along the way.
Warm up those imaginations, and get ready to say “YES, AND!”
