Greasepaint Youth Theatre isn’t just something that happens on our stage — we show up across our community.
April 18 we’ll be at YMCA Healthy Kids Day at the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA, with Greasepaint actor Eleanora volunteering alongside us (you may have just seen her light up the stage in Madagascar Jr.). Healthy Kids Day is a FREE nationwide event – and it’s all about helping kids and families build healthy habits, stay active, and have fun together.

Then on April 19, Greasepaint performers will band together as one of 10 local theatre companies and take the stage at Pack & Impact – Performance Meets Purpose with Velvet Curtain Productions at Tempe Marketplace. This inspiring event brings together talented student performers who are not only showcasing their work on stage but also giving back in a powerful way. Throughout the evening, participating students will be packing over 1,000 “Bags of Hope” for moms, children, and unhoused individuals in the From Pain to Promise program – making a direct impact in the community. Join us for the packing? The event runs 5-8 pm.

It’s one of our favorite things to watch — young performers stepping beyond the stage, showing up, giving back, and using their voices in spaces that matter.
