We often look around the theatre world, the film world, and even Instagram… and suddenly realize our people are everywhere. Parents…make sure your kids see these inspirational tales of Greasepaint alumni out in the world!

Betty Weinberger Choreographing in New York
Greasepaint alum Betty Weinberger is currently serving as Associate Choreographer for The Count of Monte Cristo in New York City.
The Big Apple.
Betty has always had an incredible creative drive, and seeing her working on choreography for a major production in the heart of the theatre world is one of those moments where we all just smile and say, yep… that tracks.
From Greasepaint stages to shaping movement for the new musical Monte Cristo – we love seeing alumni take their talents to the next level!

Sophia Drapeau Finds Her Improv Home
Another alum many of you will remember, Sophia Drapeau, is also building her creative career in New York.
Sophia graduated from NYU Tisch and is now performing with a new improv collective called Little Darlings Improv.
If you’ve ever tried improv, you know how wild and wonderful it is – no script, no safety net, just collaboration, creativity, and quick thinking. Honestly… that sounds like the perfect playground for a Greasepaint kid.
Don’t miss… the summer camp with Johnny Kalita to help fine-tune those skills for all emerging young actors.

Rachel Redleaf Brings a Film Project to Stagebrush
And speaking of film projects at Stagebrush…
Rachel Redleaf will be shooting a short film right here at the theatre next weekend.
The project is called Eat, Pray, Rot – and yes, the title alone already has our attention.
Rachel is sharing the project on Instagram, and we’re excited to see our historic theatre continue to be a creative playground for filmmakers and artists.
And in a fun little twist… Moe will even be popping in for a tiny role in the film.

Keegan and the Could Film Project
Remember the short psychological thriller Could that some of our alumni were filming recently inside and outside of Stagebrush Theatre?
The project continues to take shape, and Keegan Luther is part of the creative team helping bring it to life.
We absolutely love seeing Greasepaint alums collaborating on film projects – especially when those projects circle back to the very theatre where many of them first discovered storytelling.
From stage to screen… and always part of the Greasepaint family!
If you’re curious, keep an eye on the project on Instagram:

To all our Greasepaint alums out there doing amazing things – we see you, we’re proud of you, and you will always have a home stage here.
